the Salvation Army, Straight Lane, Goldthorpe, works with the Churches together, Dearne Area team and the Local schools, Councillors, Health Support Workers and Children’s Centre to deliver the Winter Warner project. We are running this project again and will be providing families in need with items such as Hot Water Bottles, thermos Flasks, Foil Blankets, Warm Blankets, Hat, Winter Coats, Gloves and Scarf sets, as well as cooking hot meals and providing these when we are open on a monday and Friday. We will also be supporting families in need with ready meals so that this will keep their fuel bills down. this will start from the beginning of October and continue up to the Christmas holidays. We will also run this over the winter months and possibly up until end of February 2019. If anyone would like to donate please contact any of the Volunteers at the Salvation Army on Straight Lane or message us on Facebook.

CHRISTMAS FOOD APPEAL
Can you help? We are looking for groups of people to ‘Sponsor a Box’ and help a family in in Crisis at Christmas. together with your family, friends or colleagues, simply provide us with items from our list (available from Salvation Army) It does not have to be every item- a selection would still be appreciated. Bring them to the Salvation Army, Straight Lane, Goldthorpe by Friday 30 november and we will pass them on to a family in need. Please ensure the ‘use by’ date of all items is after Christmas. Food can also be delivered to our Foodbank monday and Friday mornings between 9am and 1pm. these will then be checked and made into a lovely Christmas box for families in need.
